Hi, I'm Sally, I am an Ofsted registered childminder, rated Outstanding in my recent inspection. I feel passionately about providing a warm and friendly environment where the children can feel safe and secure and have lots of fun. I work closely with parents to ensure I provide a home-from-home environment with play experiences adapted to each child's interests, likes and stage of development.
I live in Hitchin with my husband and 3 children, aged 17, 16 and 12. I am Ofsted registered, CRB checked, fully insured and hold an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate. I have achieved a Grade A in the Level 3 'Diploma in Home-Based Childcare'.
I have a lovely secure garden with outdoor toys. Indoor activities include art and crafts, messy play, baking, construction, small-world toys, role play, puzzles and stories. I take the children on outings to the park, library, toddler and music groups and lots more.
I produce a daily diary for each child with details of activities, sleeps, meals etc. and create regular learning journals which include ‘artwork’ and photos as well as comments on interesting things the child has said or done.
I follow the guidelines of the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage’, a framework to support children up to the end of the reception year at school.
I have been childminding for 10 years, with experience from young babies up to school-age. I love working with children and find it both fun and rewarding.
I obtained a Grade A in the Level 3 Qualification - 'Diploma in Home-based Childcare' and have up-to-date First Aid and Safeguarding certificates.
I currently have a space on a Thursday and anticipate having more spaces in September 2017.
