I am a registered childminder offering a home-from-home environment where your child will be welcomed as a member of our family and have fun, play and learn. Our home is a safe, warm, relaxed, friendly setting with lots of things to do.
As children learn through play, I offer a variety of activities based around their interests and the Early Years Foundation Stage. I ensure that your child will have the opportunity to join in a number of activities including role play, arts and crafts, outdoor play, story time, singing and music. We also do at least one outing a day e.g. toddler playgroup, the playground, the library and feeding the ducks and the shops.
My family consists of me, my husband and our two children. We live in a three bedroom detached house in a very quiet cul-de-sac in South Kendal near to Dean Gibson Primary School. We also have a large, fully enclosed child-friendly garden with lots of toys.
My husband and I are fully DBS/CRB checked and I have public liability insurance.
I am educated to degree level and have completed an NVQ3 in Children’s Care Learning and Development. I undertake regular training to update and improve my knowledge and service. I have completed many training courses, including Early Years First Aid, Level 2 Food Safety, Safeguarding Children, Health and Safety Risk Assessment, Early Years Foundation Stage and Signalong (sign supported speech) Phase 1 and 2.
